Old-Fashioned Chautauqua

In days past, the chautauqua circuit provided speakers and performers that contributed to the community's cultural life for a few days each summer.

For the 200 Hour Party, the Bicentennial's old-fashioned chautauqua held demonstrations and presentations at the Broadway Fountain, Lytle Park and the Madison-Jefferson County Public Library.
